Then, get a new perspective of this great city from the Cairo Tower, located on Gezira Island (Zemalak). This 613-foot-tall tower is said to imitate a lotus plant, and is the world's fourth-highest tower. It is made of granite, the same material used by ancient Egyptians, and is about 150 feet taller than the Great Pyramid of Giza. Conclude your tour with a visit to El-Fishawy Cafe. Evolving from a small local cafe to the most popular coffee shop in the El-Hussein area, El-Fishawy is the oldest cafe in the heart of Khan El-Khalili and has hosted kings, princes, famous artists, and intellectuals who have passed on stories about the place since its conception in 1771 AD.
